Our team of physical therapists and personal trainers is all about making movement intentional, accessible, and FUN!
We believe that fitness not only makes for a strong body, but a strong mind, and a strong life.
Our Semi Private Gym Membership, located in the heart of downtown Paonia, is designed to offer a variety of small group classes, along with personalized consults, so all members can experience a range of different instruction and styles.
We are dedicated to bringing more movement opportunity to the North Fork Valley, and we hope you’ll stop in to check out the space and reserve your gym membership!

Matthew Huerta, Personal Trainer / Class Instructor
Matthew is a holistically-minded personal trainer, movement, and breath coach, who has been working as a full-time personal trainer since 2018. Specializing in core rehabilitation, breathing function, and therapeutic movement, he helps clients to find freedom in their ability to move through life with ease, confidence, and vitality!
Matthew is a certified Integrated Movement Specialist and Health Coach through the Chek Institute. He is also a certified performance breathing coach through Laird Hamilton & Gabby Reece’s Extreme Performance Training (XPT) program.
Matthew is currently hosting classes as part of our gym membership on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Melody Rogers, Class Instructor
Melody Rogers has been a part of the North Fork Physical Therapy Team since January 2023. She is primarily NFPT’s office manager, but has recently enrolled in training to get her Personal Trainer Certificate through NASM.
With Chris’ supervision, she has been hosting weekly classes at NFPT since October 2023, which have now become a part of our gym membership program.
Melody has discovered a whole new love in the world of movement, and enjoys being part of such a vibrant and health oriented community! She is excited to continue growing her skills, and helping others.

Alison Gale, Class Instructor
Alison is a lifelong performer; beginning early in life in theater and film arts, then formal circus training dating back to 2008. Throughout lockdowns, she obtained NASM’s Personal Trainer certification, Liquid Motion certification, Xpert Pole certification, and still continues her movement education, as well as her performance career.
Alison is currently hosting classes as part of our gym membership on Fridays.
Caleb Charles, Class Instructor
CPT- NSCS, CPPS, CSCS and AFAA personal and group fitness
After graduating from CNU in 2013, Caleb began his coaching journey. It was through playing soccer, where he began to develop a deep desire to explore the physical capabilities of not only the body, but the mind. After an ACL surgery his sophomore year, Caleb was drawn into the world of physical therapy and corrective exercise.
“It was the process of rehab and returning back into a place of performance, that I fell in love with. I was then inspired to help others do the same.”
Starting as a personal trainer at OneLife Fitness in Virginia, Caleb opened up the doors of coaching. He was quickly guided out to Los Angeles where he dove into the group fitness world and began working with high performance athletes at a UFC gym.
“It was here that I began to value relationships in both personal and group dynamics.
After returning to the east coast, Caleb spent a few years in Washington DC, where he stepped into a role of Assistant Fitness Director at Sport&Health.
“Once I became aware of systemic imbalances in the health & wellness industry, I felt like it was time to start my own practice.”
In 2016, Caleb launched DynamicU- an all inclusive training program that specialized in adaptive and functional fitness for all demographics and health status. He worked with clients who ranged from MS to Navy Seals and everything in between.
“My intention was to learn how I could meet people where they were at, and design a plan to support them on their path forward.”
Since moving to Colorado in 2018, Caleb has embarked on his own wellness journey that includes endurance, strength, mobility and triathlon.
“Living in Colorado has opened up my world to variations of training. I love swimming in the lakes, riding my bike up the mesas and running around the mountains. Creating balance in my life through movement has brought me a sense of peace I’ve never felt before. This is the gift I want to share with the world.”
Caleb is currently hosting classes as part of our gym membership on Mondays.

Tango, Pizza Boy, Rogers
Tango, affectionately known as Pizza Boy or Tangaroni Pizza to friends and family, has been a beloved member of the North Fork Physical Therapy and Performance team since its inception in late 2020. As a dedicated physical therapist, Tango brings a unique blend of compassion, energy, and enthusiasm to his work. His career as a therapy dog at Paonia Care Center, where he worked for three years prior to joining North Fork, has equipped him with a deep understanding of the importance of both physical and emotional well-being.
Born and raised in the picturesque town of Paonia, CO, Tango is a local through and through. At nearly six years old, Tango’s youthful spirit and zest for life remain as infectious as ever. Outside of his professional role, Tango is an avid runner, swimmer, and snowboarding enthusiast. He often enjoys hitting the slopes with his best friend and training partner, Chris, embracing the challenge of winter sports with excitement. Tango also loves to run and fetch, staying active throughout the year. His athleticism has even led him to train for the West Elk Challenge, though due to regulations, he was unable to compete in October 2024. Undeterred, Tango plans to continue marathon training this year, with the goal of running side by side with Chris and crossing the finish line together.
Tango’s approach to physical therapy is grounded in his warm and approachable nature, which makes patients feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door. Whether offering a comforting presence or leading by example with his boundless energy, Tango’s role at North Fork Physical Therapy and Performance is one that combines expertise, empathy, and a love for his community.
Always by Chris’s side and ready to lend a paw, Tango is excited to continue supporting and inspiring others to live their best, most active lives.
